The main problem I had with Oblivion was that it's just too short! I compelted the main quest and all the factions quickly, then had nothing to do. So, I downloaded mods. The problem: It's not enough to get my back to playing. But I still download and install mods now...I never even get round to playing them!

We've had Oblivion since it first released and like Morrow, we just couldn't get into it. I didnt like the controls and bailed shortly after arriving in the newbie area. My son has played it when he's bored with WOW and he too isn't all that impressed. I wonder what it is we don't get or like about this game that I hear such wonderful commentary on. We loved Fable, why can't we get into this game? It would be a nice relief from WOW.

May I suggest a lovely mansion in Anvil for your books for only 5000 shiny things.

Gotar is now hunting for a house with many, many shelves.

I've never been overly impressed with the books as objects, so on a I installed Phoenix Amon's freshly-released (standard) this morning and dashed over to First Edition bookshop in Imperial City for the full effect. Good golly, it's beautiful work.

Since I've started working again, the odd stolen hour of Oblivion tops my list of guilty pleasures. I can make a satisfying amount of quest progress in small chunks of time, and when I'm feeling particularly starved for tranquil solitude I like to roam the rolling hills, listening to the rustle of Gotar (shiny Argonian Spellsword)'s footsteps through the grass as he gathers flowers and other stuff to make potions with. He doesn't have a house yet, so tends to carry a few random things around, like lore books, which come in handy during quiet moments.
